Day 18 - Computer Troubles

Today's Tasks

  1. Read the lesson context.
  2. Listen to the audio clips several times until the sounds feel familiar. Do not repeat aloud—just listen and absorb.
  3. Download the Anki deck and review it daily. It includes all the audio clips in today's lesson for efficient review. Review previous decks if prompted to do so.
  4. Spend at least 30 minutes listening to native Russian audio. It doesn't matter if you don't understand it.

    Hey, you know computers, right? My laptop is acting up.

    Что случилось? Тормозит или вообще не включается?
    What happened? Is it slow or not turning on at all?

    Включается, но тормозит жутко. Программы еле открываются.
    It turns on, but it's horribly slow. Programs barely open.

    Когда последний раз чистил его? Может, вирусы или места на диске нет.
    When was the last time you cleaned it? Maybe it has viruses or the disk is full.

    Да никогда толком... Антивируса нормального нет, места мало осталось.
    Honestly, never... I don't have a proper antivirus, and there's little space left.

    Понятно. Давай вечером принеси, гляну. Почищу от пыли, диск разгружу.
    Got it. Bring it over this evening, I'll take a look. I'll clean out the dust and free up the disk.

    Серьёзно выручишь, а то я уже думал новый покупать.
    You'd really be helping me, otherwise I was already thinking of buying a new one.

    Не проблема. Чаще заботься о технике, и она дольше проживёт.
