Today's Tasks

1. Read the lesson context.
2. Listen to the audio clips several times until the sounds feel familiar. Do not repeat aloud—just listen and absorb.
3. Download the Anki deck and review it daily. It includes all the audio clips in today's lesson for efficient review. Review previous decks if prompted to do so.
4. Spend at least 30 minutes listening to native Russian audio. It doesn't matter if you don't understand it.

  How's your son? Does he let you sleep at least a little?

  Ха, чуть-чуть. Ночью встаём по два-три раза. Я как зомби на работу хожу.

  Ha, just a bit. We get up two or three times at night. I go to work like a zombie.

  Понимаю, у нас то же самое. Дочка просыпается каждые пару часов, требует внимания.

  I understand, same for us. Our daughter wakes up every couple of hours, demanding attention.

  Зато улыбнётся утром - и сразу все мучения забываешь.

  But then she smiles in the morning — and you immediately forget all the hardship.

  Точно. Стоит улыбнуться или новый звук издать - мы с женой умиляемся.

  Exactly. As soon as he smiles or makes a new sound, my wife and I melt.

  Да, дети быстро растут. Вон, уже вещи маленькие стали, месяц назад велики были.

  Yeah, babies grow fast. Look, the clothes have already become small; a month ago they were too big.

  У нас тоже. Кажется, только родилась, а уже тяжелее на килограмм.

  Same here. Feels like she was just born, and she's already a kilo heavier.

  Что уж, надо привыкать. Дальше только веселее будет: ползать начнут, потом бегать.

  Well, we have to get used to it. It will only get more fun: they'll start crawling next, then running around.
